Slow Food and a Model Forests Webinar

Terra Madre 2020 - Local event in Novigrad on 19th November 2020

In the framework of the Mediterranean Model Forest Network – Slow Food International on-line FORUM on 19 November 2020 our Model Forest will organize a local event in Novigrad, in cooperation with Slow Food Istria.Objective of the event is strengthening cooperation at the territory of the Model Forest and promoting Slow Food movement.

Mushrooms of the River Mirna Basin

We are pleased to inform you that Model Forest River Mirna Basin has issued a book "Mushrooms of the River Mirna Basin" that is a result of the joint effort of the members of the association.
Author of the book is our long-term member Josip Simic Marino, an excellent connoisseur of mushrooms and one of the founders of the Istrian Mycological Association.
The Book is describing and presenting 173 underground and aboveground mushrooms, with instructions about the equipment and how to pick mushrooms.

„Traceability of products in Model Forest River Mirna Basin“ project promotion

With the gathering of producers from the territory of Model Forest „River Mirna Basin“ in the educational – gastronomic centre of the Agency for the Rural Development of Istria, another project of the Croatian Forest Research Institute (CFRI) has finished. The project lasted for one year, and it was developed in the cooperation of Centre for Forest Ecosystem Goods and Services „Josip Ressel“ of the Croatian Forest Research Institute, CESEFOR Institute from Spain and Model Forest „River Mirna Basin“.

International Day of Forests - We celebrate it every day!

AMF International Meeting – “Model Forest candidacy and support for implementation”, Albania, Region of Korca – Voskopoje, 16th – 18th December 2014

The 5th International AMF Meeting will be held in Region of Korca, Voskopoje (Albania) from 16th – 18th of december 2014 in the organization of Agricultural University – Faculty of forest science from Tirana.

The meeting will be constisted of AMF meeting, Steering comitee, Field trip and Workshop with lokal stakeholders from Voskopoje.

MedForum 2014 - Model Forest „River Mirna Basin“ became a candidate for membership in the International Model Forest Network

The annual meeting of the Mediterranean Model Forest Network (MMFN) was organized collectively by the Institute for Adriatic cultures and karst melioration (IAC), the Šibenik-Knin County and the MMFN Secretariat; it took place in Skradin from the 14^th to 16^th October, 2014 and its working title was “MedForum 2014: Monitoring and Evaluation of Results and their Reporting to the Wider Public”.
