Resilient perennial plant which grows from 25 cm to 1 m tall. The stem is square and branched in the lower part. It has oval, serrated, aromatic, green and deeply wrinkled leaves which keep their scent long after they are dried. They are good for the preparation of teas and medicines. The seeds are dark brown, slightly curved and small.
