Description: 

Shrub-like wooden perennial plant s up to 1 m high. Stems are blunted, they sprout from underground bulbs. Older stems agar greyish and they can climb on other plants or on different surface. The main parts have strong thorny shells. It blossoms from April to June, the flowers are little, 3 mm long, yellow to green colour and scented. Its fruit is a berry, when it matures it has a black skin and 1-2 hard seeds.

It has a beneficial effect on cardiovascular diseases, it lowers blood pressure and cholesterol and strengthens blood vessels. It is also used as a diuretic.
