Description:
Shrub or a small tree which grows up to 8 m. The bark on older trees cracks into red-brown shells. It blossoms very early, in February or March, the flowers are small, yellow and they grow in clusters. The leaves are opposite and oval, with long tops with 3 - 5 sickle-like veins. The fruit is a red 1,5 cm long berry.
