Description:
Perennial plant between 20 and 50 cm high. Fertile plants are produced in early spring, they are of light brown colour and non-branched. Green sterile stems start to grow after the fertile have wilted. Leaves are in whorls and they are facing upwards.

Usage:
It is used for treating urinary canals as well as aid for urine excretion. Usually it is not used by itself but in combination with other medicinal plants.
