Description: 

Evergreen shrub 3-5 m tall, with clustered and upright shoots. Leaves are oval and narrow at the top, 1-3 cm long, 0,5-1 cm wide and opposite. Flowers are small, grow individually, white. The fruit is a small berry, blue to black colour.

Uses: 

Usable part:
Leaves while flowering, frutis after maturation.

Usage:
It is used for sinuses disorders, herpes, urinary tract disorders, dry cough, acnes, haemorrhoids. Different plant parts are used in gastronomy (salads, food supplements) or in the production of alcoholic beverages. Myrtle oils are also used in the cosmetics industry.
