Annual or biannual plant with a vertical, up to 50 cm high stem. The lower leaves on the stem are pinnately lobed with a large terminal lobe. The flowers are arranged in corymbs, they have 4 creamy white petals with purple veins. The fruits are siliqua, vertically laid next to the stem, bare or hairy, with a flat 9 mm long two-sided beak on top. They open with pawls.
